About Our Teas
When you scroll through Tea Pilgrim’s roster of teas, you will notice that most are certified organic. It is important to us to maximize
the health benefits of the teas we offer by making available those that have been grown with care under the label of certification.
This does not mean, however, that the other teas offered are not organically grown with the same standards or even higher as those
that are certified, it only means that the certification is not available. We let the taste and effects of drinking the tea act as judge of
the tea’s goodness factor.
With the plethora of teas available from around the world, one commonality that exists among them is that each, in some way or in
more ways than one, offers some kind of health benefit. This is the drink that keeps on giving, especially when we consider that it is
versatile: to be enjoyed hot, cold or tepid even.
Not only are the Tea Pilgrim teas of the highest quality, so is the packaging. All of the tins, bags and pouches that are used are FDA
approved and meet the highest standards for food storage.
It may be of interest to know that if left sealed in an airtight environment, teas can be preserved up to twenty years. Once opened,
(provided a good reusable seal is used) most teas will retain their full taste and benefits for up to five years. Who can say that teas
don’t work hard for us?
Did you know that tea is considered a food item in Canada, and therefore not taxable? That’s right, no tax!
For many, as in the people at Tea Pilgrim, the origin of tea drinking enjoyment comes from the modest bosom of a mother who
gave a warm drink to her child to help her child to feel better. Childhood memories of chamomile tisane, for example, fill the senses
of the adult that benefited from that drink. And the desire to extend that wellbeing in a drink to the children in the next generation
continues.
